On Sunday September 10, we celebrated the 2017 ICEA Classic - our annual youth-run festival that celebrates everything that makes WA great - Noongar culture, surfing, skating, basketball, live music, and good vibes.

This year’s Classic saw Thelma Plum headlining the main stage, a successful road closure extending our festive grounds, a tent full of incredible Aboriginal artists, language teachers and other facilitators sharing their knowledge and thousands of people from the WA community coming together in support of reconciliation.

If you were there and would like to provide us with some feedback we'd really appreciate it (takes about 3 minutes).

THANK YOU TO ALL OUR SPONSORS

Reconciliation Inspired By Young People

The ICEA (Indigenous Communities Education & Awareness) Foundation is a youth-run not-for-profit organisation with the overarching goal of achieving reconciliation through mutual respect for all Australians. We bring together young Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal Australians to create positive shared experiences, build enduring relationships and promote greater cross-cultural understanding.

Our actions are driven by our three pillars:

POSITIVE EXPERIENCES

Breaking down social barriers and bringing young people together from all walks of life through events and cross-cultural immersion programs to build curiosity and openness about cultural difference.

GENUINE RELATIONSHIPS

Giving young people the tools to foster healthy cross-cultural relationships based on trust and respect, and maintaining positive, collaborative and authentic working relationships with our community.

CROSS-CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING

Facilitating safe spaces where young people can build their knowledge and understanding of Australia's shared history and unpack the issues we face in reconciliation.

What can you do?

We've put together a list of resources to assist you in driving reconciliation in your community.
